Have had a great break away at the Mount - no scrapping done but did a couple of projects last night - which I will show you at a later date.
We have had a few walks, lots of playground trips, mini putt, seen the V8s in action in Hamilton, did the kiwi encounter at Rainbow springs in Rotorua(awesome and amazing being that close to a kiwi and no glass in the way and Katie was quiet!!) and lots of other things including scrapbook shopping at Spotlight in Rotorua. Well we are now back home school holidays are over and in just over a month (5 weeks today) Katie goes to school.
.....and I'm off to have my hot chocolate and off to bed earlier tonight with my book I got from the library today which I'm almost half way through - finally reading Twilight!! - have not seen the movie yet either.

Catch up time
WARNING THIS IS A LONG POST. Wow the weeks are just zooming by I cant believe we are half way through April. I have been a bit busy and forgot to post my news I got a couple of weeks ago.
Adrienne and Pauline from Scrappin' Patch invited me to become a full design team member for them for the next year and I of course accepted. I love Scrappin' Patch awesome shopping with excellent service, great forum and huge amounts of inspiration. I am so excited about being on the team and I have met most of the design team.
Well I went on the Sketchbook retreat and had an awesome time with little sleep, lots of chatting, scrapping and eating!! Here is a few more layouts I can share (of the 16 I did).
This one is a scaplift of a Joeline Peinaar layout that I saw in a magazine and just loved it so I did something I don't often do and scraplifted it
This one is for the North/South Sketch Challenge as the two islands had scrapbooking events at the same time
Paper Pesto also had a challenge which was to use at least two papers on a layout from the paper packs we got on arrival. Here is my layout - I love how it came out.
We did a make and take on Friday with Louise and made this awesome hybrid card - I think I need to add more hybrid stuff to my layouts.
On Saturday Faye's class was a double layout using heaps of photos and the beautiful Marrakech Range from Basic grey - a great layout to use smaller photos.
The second page has a flip page on it.
Then on Saturday afternoon I was in Prima and MM heaven when Rachel Tucker did her class using Prima paintable acteate and MM papers and we did this layout.
and with the left overs we did a mini book - I like those zutter machines!!
and then I was in Taristo heaven when I won a Taristo ribbon kit for completing the layout first ( photo from Rachels blog - thanks Rachel).
I will leave it at that - I hope you all had a great Easter!!

SBO The Amazing race legs 5 and 6
Well the amazing race is over and I missed the last two legs but have managed eight challenges. so along with the tickets for the challenges , I have one for my initial blog post about the competition, two for blogging more then four times about the race after the initail blog, two for commenting on the layouts in the gallery , one for doing four or more challenges and one for answering one of Nic Howards questions first so fifteen in total.
So here are my layouts for the last four challenges I did
leg five Denmark do a wintery layout
Leg six the UK and big ben so include time in the title or have a clock on the layout
Leg 7 had four challenges of which I did two
Head to Tonga - famous now for the volcanic activity - do a HOT themed layout!
Japan = Super Kawaii! Think Cute! Harajuku girls and bubbly big eyed cartoon characters. Create a super cute page (use your best judgement, think little animals, candy colours etc) - Christopher on the pinball machine and Sassfrass lass papers where a great combo for this
I had an awesome time on retreat and managed to get sixteen layouts done and received a few of prizes.
I met a lot of people I know online as well as a few I have met already which was awesome. The company was great the food yummy and the venue was good and the shopping was awesome. I will be sending my registration in soon for the next one on the 6th to 8th of November.
