A Hobby revisted

A long time ago pre children my hobby was hand sewing soft toys from patterns from places like Bear Essentials.  I created over 20 bears then.  Last night I continued a UFO (unfinished object) and almost completed her today. It was so cool to almost finish her (she needs some black felt nostrils which I don't have at present) I started her over 11 years ago....

Prima Product Pick and BAP for January

Prima's Product Pick Palette is a very elegant colour combo this time but I ended up doing a boy layout with a messy background and used the back of papers from different collections and added lots of lovely flowers etc.

Here is the product pick:

Here is my layout (hmmm I think I have a spelling mistake oops!):

The Prima Build a page was a gorgeous two photo sketch this time and here I have used the Annelee Collection as my base with a lot of gorgeous flowers again!!

Late last year I won the palette product pick post and got some yummy happy mail last Saturday - Thanks Prima!! This is what I received - mmmmm.

Challenge Me Happy Challenge no 15

Challenge no 15 over at Challenge Me Happy is to include the word New on your project. This afternoon the kids wanted to scrap so I set myself up to do so as well - they set themselves up then did not do anything...but I whipped this layout up. LOOK no flowers!!!

Colour Combos Galore Challenge #215

I have been creating again last night and did a challenge from the Colour Combos Galore site.  The colour combo was baby blue, baby pink, lemon and white  the inspiration photo was of little hats sweets which had mini flowers and bows on them in the same colours as the colour combo.  I have included the hat theme by using photos with Katie in a sunhat been a sunsmart fairy! On my layout I have bows and small flowers too.

The papers I have used are Sassfrass Lass papers and an Echo Park paper as my background. The well and flowers are Prima and alphas from American Crafts and Carolees Creations.

My Minds Eye Blog Layout Challenge 31

Yes me again I have done a layout today for the challenge over at My Minds Eye blog.  The challenge was to use their sketch and have the word New on the layout as well as use 80% My Minds Eye Products.

Here is my layout I have mainly used  the Lost and Found collection. The gold effect in the background is using Golden wheat Shimmerz and gold paint dauber.

Donna Salazar Guest Designer layouts

At the beginning of the last year I was lucky enough to be selected as a Guest Designer for Donna Salazar designs and last month I received my two parcels of products from her - one from GCD Studio and one from Clearsnap. Along with these yummy goodies I have used some of my own stash of Donna Salazar products that I had I created these two layouts:

I have used a Grandma's Garden 12 x 12 paper as my base in conjunction with a brown Bazzil cardstock. On the base paper I have sprayed River Mossy and Caramel Latte smooch sprays.  These dry really quickly and you can almost continue your layout straight away  - if you do not spray to thickly! The fence on my layout is a Dusty Attic one which I covered with emboss gloss then used Mixed Media Inx Truffle embossing powder and heated it with a heat gun. The fence has then been highlighted with Mixed Media Inx Jasmine colour box ink.  This ink is amazing it covers really well!

The backing of the photos is corrugated card.  The cut out embellishments are from various Donna Salazar papers -Antiquities, Grandmas Garden, Artistic papers as well as the Crafty Chronicle.  The flowers are made using the Rose Creations die, brads and the Crafty Chronicle.  These have then been sprayed with River Mossy and Caramel Latte smooch sprays.  Once the layout was put together I daubed the Mixed Media Inx Jasmine colour box ink all over the page giving it a bit more of a grungy look.

My next layout is a bit softer and also using a mixture of Donna Salazar products.

The Background paper is from the Antiquities  Collection. I have used a brick wall mask and Mixed Media Inx Jasmine colour box ink to add to the background. Then I have added a paper doily before layering Artistic and Antiquities papers underneath the photo. The cut out flowers and butterflies are from Grandma's Garden and artistic papers collections. The chipboard Swirls are from 2 Crafty and are covered with Mixed Media Inx Truffle colour box ink.  To finish the layout off I have added some Prima flowers and leaves.

I have another much bigger project I am working on for Donna Salazar so will be back soon with that.
See you soon!

Another Freaking Scrappy challenge January prompt challenge

Even though this Christmas has now passed, the challenge over at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge blog  this time is to scrap a Christmas memory from the past - a Christmas from your childhood – incorporate a photo, a momento or something or someone that represents that time for you, maybe use a photo of a gift you received !!!! If you do not celebrate Christmas – scrap a memory of another holiday that is special to you. You have until the end of the month to participate

Here is my layout - not sure how old I was here.

Have fun with the challenge!
