Goodbye 2011!!

Another year gone by .... another fulled with challenges different to 2010 and in some ways harder. Kaitlyn settled better at school but still a huge challenge at home bar a few months in the middle of the year where we saw huge improvements which have disappeared again. In myself I feel I have grown heaps as a person - mainly from opportunities I have been given by Scottie Crafts and the scrapping community and by having Andrew been so supportive. 2012 looks like another challenging year again both good and bad challenges so hoping for a good year!

2011 scrapping wise saw me doing my biggest class I have ever done at SENZ, working at shows, meeting Sharon and Cari from Prima at the roadshow was just amazing (felt like I had wings that day), doing 126 layouts, about 10 minibooks, and a handful of off the page items and working with amazing people who are so encouraging! I also was on the team for NZ Paperchase magazine which was interesting as the briefs were not things I would normally do and I am still on the team for Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge blog for a couple more months. Another achievement was to get a spot as guest designer for Donna Salazar designs - my first two projects go up on the blog on January the 7th.

To all my family and friends all the best for the 2012!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
See you next year.....

Last layouts for 2011!! - Prima Bap and Prima PPP

Well I cannot believe it is the last day for 2011 tomorrow!! This year has just flown by!! Here are my last two layouts I have done for 2011 (I have a couple I can't share yet but will do so soon!!).

This is the Prima Product Pick Palette  - nice and Christmassy!!

2011 December pick

My layout is of Christopher in 2010 when he did a song at camp with his group. He was very shy and cute when he performed.

Decembers build a page sketch was very cool with a multi photo and a banner feature.

2011 December

Here is my layout with Christopher again on his 8th Birthday - so glad I have done a Birthday layout - they are sometimes more difficult to do as you have hundreds of photos to choose from.

Another Freaking Scrappy challenge December Sketch challenge

Oops almost forgot to post this one with all the Christmas going ons....

Here is the sketch for this challenge over at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge Blog:

A very simple sketch, wide open to interpretation.  There must be some resemblance to the sketch in your design.

Further - scrap a favourite recipe – use a photo of the item if you can or wish to. Make sure the recipe is included on the layout!! My layout is about a chocolate cake recipe which never fails and stays moist for days.  I use it for most birthday cakes for the kids and for everyday cakes or muffins too.

My Countdown to Christmas (part one)

In my Scotties design team kit I recieved a Melissa Frances Album kit and some extra goodies to go with it. With the design team kit and a lot of goodies from my scrapbooking products I decided to create a countdown to Christmas for 2012 as have been to busy to start one this December!

Here is my cover that I did using a Melissa Frances frame and a Tim Holtz Reindeer, numbers, lace and baubles and Prima flowers and bling.

Here are the first half of my pages:

More Tim Holtz numbers and metal charm, a Melissa Frances embellishment and tag with a Kaisercraft sticker.

Tim Holtz Tissue Tape and number,Cherry Lynne Holly flourish, Martha Stewart Holly Punch, Kaisercraft sticker, Prima flower. Similiar embellishing done on Page 6 and 7.

One of the pages in the Album was a Manilla envelope so it can be used for memorabilia.  embellishments used on this page were bakers twine, Kaisercraft Stickers and Melissa Frances tags.

Using the gorgeous holly Cheery Lynne die again.

Another feature page in the album was a pocket where more memorabilia can be placed.

Loved creating this album will show the rest of the pages soon.

Prima Roadshow

The Prima Roadshow hosted by Scottie Crafts happened on Thursday the 3rd of November at in Takapuna. It was a great place for the roadshow to be held at as it was nice and light with heaps of space for us to create in. It was awesome finally meeting the ladies from Prima- Cari Fennel and Sharon Laakkonen.

Cari Fennell was our first amazing tutor and we had an gorgeous pack of Prima goodness to create an album with the Alla Prima range.

A work in progress:

The team with Cari after the class:

While the classes were on and in between the classes there was an amazing high tea buffet table to enjoy. Carrot Cake muffins, savouries, slices, shortbread, fruit and more with tea, coffee and juice as well -YUM!

There was also inspiration on the walls and display table for people to look at too mainly my Prima stuff as everyone knows I am a PRIMA ADDICT.

In the evening another amazing tutor  Sharon Laakkonen helped us create another gorgeous album - this time with the Pixie Glen Range and a very cute heart shaped canvas album.

Me, Wendy, Sharon with our finished albums and Adrienne :

It was an awesome day  - thank you Cari and Sharon for your gorgeous classes they were amazing and so were you!
A day to be remembered for sure!
