Websters Challenge

This months Websters challenge was to make a shaped layout.  I decided to use a Bo Bunny diecut as my template for my shape.  I then used the Spring Market Collection as it is nearly the only the only Websters I have at the moment after using almost all of it for their design team call earlier this year.  Luckily my order is in at Scotties for three of their new collections - Country Estate, Ladies and Gents and Yachtclub.

Here is my layout:

Kraft it Up Challenge and Prima BAP

I am back second day in a row!!

First layout to share with you is this one created for Kraft It Up's March challenge which was to use the following saying in your title or Journal:
"There is no greater gift than today"

The saying fits this photo as it was the day we bought Christopher home just over eight years ago when he was four days old.  This was after having Brendan who was eight weeks early and stayed in hospital for over three weeks and losing our baby girl after she was stillborn seventeen weeks early (Ashleigh) and not being able to bring her home - she would have been ten this year.

Now on to another layout for Primas BAP with Brendan on his skateboard last year. I have flipped the sketch around and have a mix of new and old Prima. Oooh those flocked rubons are devine!

Talking about Prima here is the layout I did in Trina's Class at the Crop for Christchurch.

Poor neglected blog - a long post to make up for it!

My poor blog I haven't updated you for so long.....

I have been very busy with helping getting  Scottie Crafts get ready for the craft show and lots of other things.  The craft show went very well and it was really busy - I didn't even really see what else was there. I loved what Adrienne and Wendy did with the stand it looked lovely and was pink of course!!

When I came back from working on the stand (after a two drive home in rush hour traffic) I saw a comment on my previous post congratulating me on my new guest design team position.  YES I have been selected to be a guest designer for Donna Salazar Designs for 2011/2012 so cool.  I haven't seen a lot of the products in New Zealand but I know Scottie Crafts will be bringing some of the new ranges in - very exciting.

Here is a layout I submitted for the design team call using Donna' s paper and the butterflies are cut using one of her dies (spellbinder). I added Prima and a Twiddleybitz fence.

I did this layout at the crop Trina organised to raise money for Christchurch.  I had a great time there and there were lots of yummy goodies to eat (thanks Debs) - just as well I won the voucher for 4 one on one personal trainer sessions!

At the crop I also finished of an album I created as a kit for Scottie Crafts  (not sure if there is any left after the show- only $30).

My design team kit from Scottie Crafts included almost the entire range of Be Mine Paper Range by Echo Park - a lovely black, white and pink combo.  I decided to create an eight by eight album using chipboard pieces and black and white photos of my daughter  Kaitlyn.  As you can see the paper can be used for girly photos and not just pages of romance - I think it will look great with young girl teens or ballerina pages too.

With the left over alphas and other bits I created a layout as well. I created a background with the alphas and white acrylic paint.

and this is my class this week at Scottie Crafts - Create a Scene- using paper loft papers and La Blanche stamps.

Thanks for looking I will be back soon with more SOON!! as I have lots to share.

A Birthday weekend

This past weekend it was Christopher's  8th Birthday and most of the weekend was celebrating it. On Saturday we had Andrews family come over for lunch and this was cake no 1 - the candles were relighting ones:

Sunday was his actual Birthday and my mom and dad came over for our traditional Birthday breakfast of Waffles and icecream (with fresh fruit salad) . Here is Christopher opening our present for him - a radio controlled car (he wanted an aeroplane but it would have been broken or lost very quickly).

We then had four of his friends over for the afternoon for a short party and here he is with cake no 2 - my arm was so sore after icing this one!

Hope you had a great Birthday weekend Christopher!
