Well where is time going this year - it is flying!! Scottie Crafts team has been so busy with events the last few weeks I can't believe its almost mid September! I helped out at Sanzi's Craft Tools day with the rest of the Scotties Team and then we hit the ground running for part of us to go to the Hamilton Craft and quilt Show, some of us to stay at the shop and I had to sort out the shop at Louise's Indulgence Retreat in Blockhouse Bay also last weekend. Luckily my new car came in handy as it is a seven seater and I got most of the stock that I needed for the retreat into it.
Teri one of the Scottie Team helped me to take the rest of the stock to the venue and Tanya helped me set up the shop (thanks Tanya). I then took four of the Australian visitors to Lynmall before coming back to the retreat to yummy homemade pizza by Debbie. I then opened the shop (at 7pm ) and kept it open until 11pm. There was a little time to demo to a couple of people how Pinkysil and resin work in between customers in the shop. Then I sat down and scrapped and before I knew it it was 3:20am! I did not think I would be awake that long! I met Janine K from Prima's design team and did her class on Saturday ( I tweaked mine a bit - for one I made a mistake and cut the doily too small so added the ruler paper!):
I also did Louise's card class but will not show it here so the recipients do not see them. I did not do much other scrapping during the day on the Saturday as I ran the shop and also went back to Scotties with Kelly and Sasha in tow to collect some more stock. Saturday night I lasted until 1am and then crashed for six hours of sleep which is the best I have slept at this type of retreat.
As usual Debbie did awesome catering from danishes for breakfast, high tea for Lunch and a yummy roast meal for Saturday's dinner. Sunday was pretty much spent doing shop stuff and packing.
I did manage to get one UFO from autumn escape finished, five layouts including Janines class done as well as the three cards and the start of another layout as well. Here are some of the layouts (next post will have the Prima PPP and Prima BAP layouts).
A layout from the challenge pack:
A Bo Bunny Camp Alot layout including to crafty chipboard which has been sitting in my stash for awhile:
The layout I started at Autumn escape:
I am not going to the Louise's retreat next year and nor will Scotties be there. I am treating myself to Trina and Lyn's Scrapfest in Nelson two weeks before which I am so looking forward to.
