Scottie Crafts Pink Paislee and Tattered Angels Inspiration

A couple of months ago I bought the Pink Paislee Mistables collection and had not used it until last week when I received a few bottles of Glimmer mist and a bottle of glimmer glam for my Scottie Crafts DT kit.

My first layout I did I used all my green Distress stains over each line in the diagonal pattern - I love the vibrant look it gives to the page. I have used a Scrapware frame which is inked black for contrast.  The journal spots and the alphas also have a resist effect on them and the fuzzy stickers take the true colour of the stain. The flourish on the page is cut using a Cheery Lynn design die.

For my second layout I sprayed the paper and binding ribbon with the following colour glimmer mists :  Denim Blue, Mels diner, pink bubbles and Key lime pie.  The flowers are sprayed with Mels Diner and Pink Bubbles - these are the Pink Paislee fuzzy stickers. The journal spot and alphas are sprayed with Pink Bubble glimmermist.  I have also painted the background with white gesso. Add some brads, Tim Holtz embellishments and a Zva Creative Flourish and you have a finished layout.

I decided to go for the more grungy look in this next layout. The pattern on the pink Paislee Paper was just crying out for some brown ink! I covered the paper with Vintage Photo and Walnut stain Distress stains and then wiped the excess off on the resist areas. Then I painted Hammered Copper Glimmer Glam over the top. Once this was dry I painted an area with white gesso - some of the ink came through so the gesso is an off white colour.  The papers used are from an old book and Tim Holtz papers and I have inked the alphas with Walnut Stain Distress stain and  Hammered Copper Glimmer Glam. The frame is a Scrapware Frame and embellishments are all Tim Holtz Idea-ology products other then the bird cage charm which was in my stash.
