Autumn Escape 2012

Well I am back after a long weekend away at Autumn Escape. Our adventure started on Thursday at Scotties when Annelie picked me up and we went to fetch Jane.  We had lunch at Macdonalds and set off for Taupo. Very busy on the roads and I took over the driving at Huntly (not used to European cars so the window wipers went off a few times LOL).

We stayed at De Bretts in a lodge that was so comfortable and a great price. Here is where I slept not bad for a bunk bed.

The views from the verandah of our unit:

We (Annelie, Jane, Sue, Emma and myself) had an amazing dinner at Bistro Lago (Simon from Master Chef is the executive Chef there). I had the duet of lamb and is was amazing like all the other meals the other ladies had.

In the morning we headed off to Autumn Escape. It was great to meet new people and to catch up and see a few familiar faces.

My table centrepiece which I shared with Fay and Sam as there were only three or four to a table.

The Candy Bar which I did not visit much as I am more of a chocolate girl!

Our welcome pack - I ended up with two as Fay gave me hers - thanks Fay!:

I did Piradee's mini album class and Rachel's Smash Album and enjoyed them a lot. Thanks Piradee and Rachel!

Me with lovely Piradee - it was great to meet you Piradee:

I also managed to do ten layouts one of which is this one for the Pink Paislee Challenge - there was a bit of a mistake on this one with the misting!

I had a ton of food to eat - buffet meals every meal !
I snuck in a little time to have a spa and slept better then any other retreat I have been on.
We even thought we had an earthquake but it was a steam release from the resort that shook the building!

I had a great time thanks Nic, Lucy and crew for a great weekend.
Did you know there is going to be a Spring Escape?
