Scrap Tech Tuesday at Scrappin' Patch

Hi everyone welcome to Scrap Tech Tuesday. Now if you are like me you have files or boxes full of your scrap pieces of paper from various projects that you just can't throw out because they are just soooo pretty :D . Here are some ideas for using a little up.

On this first layout I have used my Marrakech scraps in the background and have made lollipop flowers which are great for boy pages. They are very easy to do and can be altered heaps of different ways.
First cut out three circles in different sizes.
Then join together with a brad.
Before joining them you can crumple the circles and distress/ink the edges to get a grungy look.


In the next layout I have just ripped some bits of paper up and formed a circle with them and then did a bead circle over the top. The layout also features flowers and leaves created by me using the cuttlebug and some scraps



Another way to use up some scraps is to do some fun collage like in this card which you could do on a layout too.

Guest designer inspiration - Layouts using Basic grey 6 x 6 paper pads

A lovely kit arrived at my place from Scrappin' Patch just over a week ago after 8pm by courier and so I have been creating :D :D . Now this might be a long post :D

The products that I am highlighting are :

1/2 pack Basic Grey Ambrosia 6x6 paper pad
1/2 pack Basic Grey Eva 6x6 paper pad

These can be found at the Scrappin' Patch shop for only $5 for a half pack

Pink Paislee has 8 x 8 pads you can use in a similiar way and they are $4 a pack.

You can do heaps with these papers including 12 X12 layouts,cards smaller layouts and they would be awesome to do mini albums with.

My first layout is using the Ambrosia papers. With this layout I just used three of the papers as they were for my background I then cut out the black scalloped paper for the two little trims above and below the photo. With the fifth and sixth paper I used my fiskars finger knife to cut out the flourishes and butterflies.



The next layout to show you is using the Eva range - this time I have ripped and layered the papers and added element stickers, flowers and bling.



Now the Eva range looks very girly but I have done a boy layout using the papers. This time I cut them and used my threading water punch on one of them. I also made lollipop trees by cutting circles out of them and layering them. I have also used some element stickers on this layout.



Here is another Eva layout where I have cut the papers in L shapes and adhered them onto the cardstock and covered the gap in the middle with the photos - so I have a smaller square of each paper to use on another project. The other piece of paper I have used my finger knife to cut out the bird and the flourish under it.



The final layout I have done is another boy one using the grey papers in the ambrosia pad. I have cut them in half and joined them together lengthways to give the impression of 12 X 12 strips and have hidden the joins under the photos.



I still have a few pages of the pads left and have done these two cards as well





These pads are definitely very versatile and by combining them with a few embellishments and cardstock you can make a heap of projects. I had fun doing these layouts and hope these inspire you!!

Update at last

I haven't put up my layouts done recently - I don't know.

Last Friday at the Sketchbook it was my turn to set the Friday night challenge which was to use brads or eyelets and use photos not quite perfect for scrapping but tell a story

Also at Sketchbook I did a sample layout for Heidi's word challenge which is for the next two weeks- the word is precious. My layout is of the kids - they are still precious to me even if they are driving me nuts at the moment.



And the next layout is for a design team application which I withdrew from for various reasons and it is using Paper Pesto's February kit mainly and lots of bits from previous kits.



AND my layout using Kelly Goree's style for the final round of the stars in your eyes competition at Scrappin' Patch



I got some news last night that a layout that I submitted to a magazine may be published if they decide to use it when I send it to them - I haven't been published in a magazine before so pretty excited. Will know in April sometime.

Over at Scrappin patch I have been involved in a few swaps. Here are the flowers that I got in one swap.

The two birthday cakes I made on Friday one for the family one for the party for Christopher.





We were going to miniputt for the party but the weather was so bad we went to gloputt an indoor 12 hole in the dark mini golf instead after games and food at home.
