Well I had a good scrapping evening last night and finished off my part 5 layout for Lisas challenge of so you think you can scrap that I started in the afternoon and did another 3 layouts and two cards - I love it when the mojo flows as I dont get that much time to scrap.
Well I was a little stumped with part 5 as the fabric part was not fitting to what I had in my head and I went to spotlight on Friday to look for thickers in a different colour to what I had but they were closed tell further notice urgh!! So I ended up at NZ scrapbook and got some more papers and changed totally what I was going to do and I think I rather like the result but cant show you until Thursday for this layout .
I did my NZ dares Challenge which was to make your own stamped background and have one other element stamped. Well the other day I finally found some Ranger Medium and so using a light greenish cardstock and my autumn leaves flower stamps and pearlised pearl powder I made my background paper. My other stamped element is my flourishes. The other paper is by chatterbox.
Here is the layout:
I also did the Monthly and weekly challenges over at Scrapbook Dreams for the first time. The layout is for the Monthly challenge and the card is for the weekly challenge. I love how both of them have come out.
The card on the right is for the Scrapbook Dreams challenge
The card on the left is for Sketchbooks card challenge and I have done the sketch challenge too. I have been wanting cosmo paper for a while so decided to get some even though my paper trays are rather full!!
Thanks for looking and have a great week.

Scrappin patch Fortnightly sketch and Sketchbook Sketch Challenges
Now I know I only posted about last fortnights Scrappin Patch challenge in my last post but here is my take on this weeks one (I think I have been influenced a bit by Meek thanks to So you think you can scrap and the Doodle formula book I got as a Rak from Monique for doing Kiwi Jack Me up in her Birthday month which is mine too thanks Monique). I got my order from them yesterday at 1pm and by 3pm I had the layout 90% done as I just had to use this gorgeous paper by Primas Dude range (the challenge requires you to use prima products) and the journalling spot is also from the same range. Primas new ranges are awesome go check them out in my shopping links at Scrappin patch. If you buy over $50 of product before the end of June you get a $20 voucher to spend next time as well as free postage in NZ. My second order was done tonight :) - some great goodies there.
My other layout is for Sketchbooks Fortnightly challenge - I flipped the sketch this time to fit my photos - Brendan was not happy about those swans though who can blame him they can be quite agressive.

Scrappin Patch Sketch challenge
Just a quick post about my latest layout for Scrappin patch's sketch challenge. Most of the products used are from Paper pestos latest kit other then the flowers and cardstock - the adhesive pearls are from a previous kit. I dont know if its missing something though.
Tonights challenge is the midway challenge for so you think you can scrap at SBBD part 4 - Heidi Challenge - I love her style very girly and sophisticated. I think it will be easier then the last challenge but once I sit down and do it it might be a different story :). By the way I got three points last round so eight in total and seventh overall which is great as the scrappers involved are an incredibly talented bunch of Ladies and it must be sooo hard to judge.

So you think you can scrap part 3 Lianne's challenge
So far I found this the hardest to get together and come up with a concept. It had a long list of what needed to be on the layout and something unexpected. I interpreted the unexpected to be something that is not normally on a layout hence the coins and paper money but it also could have been that you finished your layout and decided to put a bit extra on for example a burst of colour or a bit of ribbon - I put on the sequins. My style of scrapping is normally sitting down and either finishing or nearly finishing a layout in one sitting but this one took a few sittings over four days - I think it was the list that got me. The results are not in yet but layouts are in the gallery at SBBD.

Scrapbooking by Design June Sketch challenge
I did this layout this morning and finished my layout for So you think you can scrap part three. After taking a lot longer to do Liannes challenge then I would normally take the sketch layout was very quick. The elements for the contest were ones I have used and Im sure I have put them on a layout before but without a list - a list got me stumped there a bit. It makes me think I lean towards freestyle scrapping especially when the Kelly layout came together very quickly. Heres the layout for the sketch will share the other layout Thursday or Friday.

SketchBook Friday the 13th challenge
The challenge this week was to do a black and white layout with one other colour. You also had to have a black and white photo. I have scrapped this photo before in fact it was my first layout I ever did but thought I have 3 kids they can each have a page - this will be for Katies.
As a look back seen it is two years ago this month that I did the first layout with the same photo here it is:

Paper Pesto Guest Designer
Well I was chosen as one of the 12 finalists for the Paper Pesto Call and was voted a Guest designer spot for my layout summer sweetness. I am really excited about it and look forward to my month which I don't know yet. So here is the layout.
My other creative sample I submitted was a mini album which I made into a style of a reader as it was about a butterfly creek trip Christopher had. I enjoyed making this and will definitely have another go it as it didn't take to long to do - though I did miss a word or two on one of the pages as I ran out of letters and then bought some more and added them but missed a page better proof read better next time :)
Front page
Page 2 and 3
Page 4 and 5
Page 6 and 7 (I did not put the in the sentence on page 6)
back page
Both of these are created using Paper pesto kits with some of my other stuff. I will keep you posted when I have more details about my month.

Three layouts done
I did three layouts two I can share now and one you have to wait to see as it is entered into a contest. The first layout is for Aussie scrapjack for June. I love how this has turned out and has the first bits I have used from Paper pestos new kit.
The second layout is for the celebrity challenge by Jennifer McQuire over at the Sketchbook - it was a sketch challenge another lime and pink!
I will share the other layout in a couple of weeks - now to think how I am going to put together part 3 of So you think you can scrap - Liannes turn. I have a concept just need to put it together -the unexpected element had me stumped.

So you think you can scrap part two - Kelly Style
I loved doing this layout I did it quickly other then the fact I had trouble sticking the embellishments down - the hot glue gun did the trick and have received some great tips on what to use next time - so need some to restock my glue dots. I think I definitely lean to a more freestyle approach. The other layouts are fantastic yet again and I came fourth this round which makes me six overall great news for my birthday. I wonder what challenge 3 will bring tomorrow...

Turning older and a time for a change ...
I have decided to change to word press as seems to be easier to manage and I can create my header which for some reason my blogger blog wouldn't let me as you can see I have done it here. Also there are a lot of things that are much easier. Its my Birthday on Thursday so good time for a change. I have included lots of links so if your blog is not on it please tell me.
One Sketch - two layouts
Well Scrapbox NZ and Paper Pesto had the same sketch for interpretation this month so I decided to do them one after the other the top one is for Scrapbox and uses some Basic Grey Figgy pudding range papers and the second for Paper Pesto uses their Kits mainly including their very first kit. They are a bit different from the sketch but I have taken the paper blocks idea and put them on both.

Scrapbookers Delight blog challenge
I did two layouts last night but can only reveal this one for the Scrapbookers delight Challenge which was to use orange and to use a quote or saying as a title. I will reveal the other layout next Thursday or Friday as it is part two of So you think you can scrap over at Scrapbooking by Design. This weeks challenge was to do a layout in Kellys style which is freestyle and I really enjoyed it. Check this space next week.

So You think you can Scrap Part One
Kiwi Jack me up June
Well Carol chose this Month and chose a layout by Ilka to Jack another favourite scrapper of mine so had some perfect photos for it instead of arrows I have used dragonflies. These are made using precut vellum dragonflies then putting on kaisercraft self adhesive bling and pearls and then gluing on the beads. The beads would have been a lot easier if I hadnt mixed all my beads up when I first started scrapping thinking I wouldn't ever use them - I dont know what I was thinking.

Scrapbookers Delight blog challenge and Katies cake
Scrapbookers delight's challenge this week was a sketch challenge and here is my take on it. I have combined SEI and Kaisercraft papers and the chipboard circles are Gin X which I bought ages ago. Alphas are American craft foam thickers .
And here is Katies cake which I made quickly yesterday for a family afternoon tea and for once it was just a plain cake not chocolate.
